MSC Cruises Reveals 2026 Entertainment Lineup Featuring AI Robot Dogs
MSC Cruises has unveiled its new onboard entertainment for 2026, introducing a groundbreaking feature: artificially intelligent robotic dogs. This innovative addition is part of a broader refresh that includes updated live shows, interactive game shows, and enhanced family activities across the cruise line's fleet.
AI-Powered Robot Entertainment on Cruise Ships
In a first for the cruise industry, MSC Cruises is piloting AI-powered robotic dogs developed by Unitree Robotics, accompanied by humanoid robots. This initiative is currently being tested on the MSC Bellissima and will soon be available on both the MSC Bellissima in Asia and the MSC Magnifica during a segment of its World Cruise 2026.
Passengers will have the opportunity to engage in meet-and-greet sessions with the robots, witness robot-themed parades, and participate in interactive workshops designed for children aged over seven. Additionally, the robotic dogs will make dance appearances during the cruise line's popular Doremix Family Disco events.
Updated Shows, Parties, and Live Entertainment
MSC Cruises is rolling out a fully renewed 1970s party across its fleet, featuring refreshed music, upgraded costumes, and improved interactive experiences. Guests can also enjoy 20 new big band performances debuting on the MSC Poesia, which will host the onboard show Dirty Dancing: In Concert.
Meanwhile, the MSC Seaview and MSC Grandiosa will launch a complete refresh of their main production shows. Popular performances making a return include the Flamenco show Paz on the MSC Meraviglia, and new additions such as Dueling Pianos and a brand-new American Country Band experience on the MSC Seascape.
New Game Shows and Lego Partnerships
Two new original game shows are set to launch in 2026: Chart Toppers, a high-energy music game show celebrating hits from the 1970s to today, and Quiz O'Clock: The Battle, a competitive twist on the line's classic quiz show.
MSC Cruises continues its partnership with Lego, expanding the popular Lego Parade to 14 ships, including the MSC Grandiosa, MSC Poesia, MSC Divina, MSC Seaside, and MSC Seaview. Families can also look forward to a refreshed, digital-first Lego Family Game Show and a MasterChef at Sea contest.
Focus on Family and Future Entertainment
Steve Leatham, MSC Cruises' vice president of entertainment, emphasized the company's commitment to family-focused activities, stating, "As a family-owned company, we know how important it is to offer entertainment that brings generations together."
Matteo Mancini, MSC Cruises' family entertainment development director, added, "MSC Entertainment is fully focused on the future and is actively investing in the development of new, modern forms of entertainment, spanning digital and immersive experiences."
This comprehensive entertainment lineup for 2026 highlights MSC Cruises' dedication to innovation and providing memorable experiences for passengers of all ages.
