Taylor Swift has announced her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, set for release on October 3, 2025. The 35-year-old singer confirmed the news during an appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, leading fans to believe she may be hinting at a Super Bowl halftime performance.
The album's orange colour theme has been interpreted as a nod to the Kansas City Chiefs, Kelce's team, who won the Super Bowl in 2024. Additionally, Kelce described Swift as an 'athlete' in a recent GQ interview, praising her stamina during the Eras tour. 'She may not think of herself as an athlete, but I've seen what she goes through,' he said.
Swift's appearance on the football-focused podcast, which usually avoids music topics, further fueled rumours. During the episode, the couple shared personal details about their relationship, and Kelce placed a Super Bowl trophy in the background, which fans saw as a deliberate clue.
Swift has previously stated she would not accept a Super Bowl halftime gig until she finished re-recording her first six albums. With that project now complete, many believe she is ready to take the stage at the next Super Bowl.
