Forbici, the Neapolitan-style pizza chain described by Michelin-star chef Marco Pierre White as "the very best pizza I've ever had in my life", opens its first southern restaurant in London on Tuesday, October 27. The London Bridge venue follows successful launches in Manchester and Sheffield.
Free Pizzas on Launch Day
To mark the opening, Forbici will hand out 1,000 free pizzas. Customers must sign up with the restaurant and be among the first 1,000 in the queue between 11.30am and 1pm to be in with a chance of winning.
Forbici is one of two UK restaurants to have ranked in the top 100 at The Best Pizza Awards 2026 in Milan, joining London's Crisp. The chain also earned praise from Marco Pierre White, who signed the menu and left a personal note for lead baker Davide Argentino during an unannounced visit in Manchester.
Naples-Inspired Menu
While the pizzas are inspired by Naples and made using a distinctive Biga dough, each restaurant draws inspiration from the city it is located in to create guest pizzas. The London menu will feature Forbici's classic and white-base pizzas, including the Provola e Pepe, topped with San Marzano tomato, smoked provola cheese and fresh basil.
Andrew Garton, CEO of Forbici, said the capital was a "natural next step" in the restaurant's journey, following its April 2025 launch in Manchester and a Sheffield opening in March 2026.
Expansion into the Capital
Garton said: "We've always wanted Forbici to grow without losing what makes it special. Our roots are firmly in the traditions of Naples, and we've built something we're incredibly proud of in Manchester and Sheffield by taking that craft and making it our own."
He added: "Being recognised among the Top 100 Best Pizzas in the World is a brilliant reflection of what we've created. London feels like a natural next step for us, and we're excited to bring what we do to the capital for the first time."
Garton concluded: "We know London has a brilliant and discerning pizza scene, and we can't wait to give Londoners a reason to make Forbici their new go-to."
