Jet2 has today announced two new routes to the stunning island of Jersey, known for its sandy beaches, aquamarine waters, cobbled streets, and rolling hills. The expansion follows continued customer demand and bookings from independent travel agents.
New Routes and Increased Capacity
The airline has confirmed significant expansion to its Jersey programme for Summer 2027, introducing flights and holidays from Birmingham and Bristol. Additional capacity has also been added from Manchester, and the summer season has been extended to the end of October. Jet2 will now operate to Jersey from six UK airports, including East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle International, and the new routes from Birmingham and Bristol. Two of these routes are exclusive to Jet2.
Flight Details
- Birmingham Airport: Three weekly services (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) from May 2 to October 10, 2027.
- Bristol Airport: Two weekly services (Monday and Friday) from May 14 to October 11, 2027.
- Manchester Airport: Three weekly services (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) from May 2 to October 31, 2027.
This expansion means Jet2 will operate 15 weekly flights during peak periods, with almost 120,000 seats on sale between Jersey and the UK mainland for Summer 2027. Capacity to Jersey has increased by over 140% compared to Summer 2026.
Jersey: A Perfect Getaway
Jet2 describes Jersey as offering aquamarine waters and vast stretches of white sand beaches. At just nine miles by five miles, the island is known as the 'little island with the big spirit'. Its warm and sunny climate is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, kayaking, and diving. Visitors can also explore castles, forts, museums, cobbled streets, and rolling hills.
Jet2holidays customers can choose from a range of three to five-star accommodation in areas including Grouville, St Helier, St Brelade's Bay, St Peter, and St Aubin. Holidaymakers can opt for leisure flights with Jet2.com or ATOL-protected package holidays with Jet2holidays.
Industry-Leading Customer Service
Jet2 has been recognised by Which? Recommended Providers for eleven consecutive years. The airline recently confirmed it will not introduce surcharges on any booked flights or holidays to cover cost increases, such as jet fuel, ensuring customers pay the price they book.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: 'We are delighted to be significantly expanding our Jersey programme for Summer 2027, with a great choice of flights now departing from six UK airports. Customers and independent travel agents are wanting to book ahead, and we are giving them an even greater selection of destinations to choose from.'
Matt Thomas, Chief Executive of Ports of Jersey, added: 'The growth that Jet2 has announced demonstrates the growing confidence airlines have in Jersey. Increased capacity and a longer season delivers greater choice and improved connectivity.'
Tricia Warwick, Chief Executive of Visit Jersey, commented: 'Jet2's expanded service is a real vote of confidence in Jersey as a destination. We look forward to inspiring prospective visitors from these new markets to choose Jersey for their next getaway.'
