Holiday parks are no longer just for families with young children. Increasingly, they are catering to couples, groups of friends, and adults looking to unwind, with options ranging from stylish lodges and cosy caravans to luxury hot tub retreats set in scenic surroundings.
Parkdean Resorts Offers Adult-Focused Activities
For those who like to stay active, Parkdean Resorts offers far more than a stroll along the beach. Guests can take part in everything from aqua fitness and 1970s-themed yoga to archery, guided walks, line dancing, swimming sessions, pool competitions, and interactive darts.
Those looking for a slower pace can simply relax, enjoy the surroundings, and make the most of some uninterrupted downtime. In the evenings, there is everything from bingo to live sport, murder mystery nights, beginners' poker tournaments, Hoedown Country evenings, karaoke, and live performances.
Creative Workshops and Nostalgic Weekenders
For anyone looking to try something different, there is also a range of creative workshops designed to help guests unwind. From jewellery making and mosaic art to pottery decorating, there are plenty of hands-on activities, while relaxed sip-and-paint sessions combine a glass of something nice with a chance to get creative.
Those after a nostalgic break can also book one of Parkdean Resorts' adults-only Celebrity Weekenders. Held at selected parks across the UK, the themed weekends celebrate everything from the '80s, '90s, and '00s to disco classics, with live DJs, tribute acts, and well-known performers providing the entertainment.
Affordable Getaways and All-Inclusive Packages
At Parkdean, four-day midweek getaways begin at just £109 for a caravan accommodating up to three guests—working out at only £9 per person, per night. Parkdean Resorts has also introduced all-inclusive breaks at 45 holiday parks across the UK. The packages include accommodation, three table-service meals a day, and unlimited hot and soft drinks, including Costa Coffee, making it easier to budget for a break.
Prices start from around £25 per adult per night, with children from £10 on selected midweek stays. That means a family of four can enjoy an all-inclusive holiday from under £400, with savings of more than £300 compared with booking accommodation and meals separately.
Top Parkdean Destinations for Adults
Three of the most sought-after Parkdean breaks for adult staycations include Warmwell Holiday Park in Dorset, Sea Acres Holiday Park in Cornwall, and Fallbarrow Holiday Park in the Lake District.
Warmwell Holiday Park is tucked away in the Dorset countryside, offering lodge-only accommodation set among tranquil woodland and lakes. Roe deer are often spotted wandering through the park, while the iconic Jurassic Coast—including Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove—is less than a 30-minute drive away. On-site activities include fishing, archery, and a 110-metre dry ski slope.
Sea Acres Holiday Park offers spectacular sea views and a peaceful setting ideal for switching off. Perched on Cornwall's rugged coastline, it is the perfect base for scenic walks and fresh sea air. Kennack Sands is just a short stroll away, giving guests easy access to a beautiful sandy beach. The park has a restaurant and bar, and the surrounding area is dotted with charming Cornish fishing villages with cosy pubs and freshly caught seafood.
Fallbarrow Holiday Park is set on the shores of Lake Windermere, one of Parkdean Resorts' most popular destinations for couples and adults. Surrounded by woodland and overlooking England's largest lake, it is ideal for slowing down and enjoying the scenery. The park has its own jetties, making it a great base for lakeside walks, morning yoga, or exploring the nearby Cumbrian fells. Guests can also hop on regular lake cruises, and the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere offers independent shops, cosy pubs, and restaurants.
Visitor Feedback on Adults-Only Breaks
Visitors who have experienced an adults-only break with Parkdean have posted feedback on TripAdvisor. A party of four adults staying at Warmwell posted a four-star assessment stating: "Overall a lovely setting and the lodge was super clean and luxurious, and the park itself very clean...Also the perfect location to explore Dorset."
Another guest who stayed at Sea Acres remarked: "Nice, quiet, friendly, well-run and well-situated site. Good sea views. Near beach. Good quality bar and restaurant and a good crowd for the Bingo. Also an adults-only pool session."
However, not every visitor was quite so enthusiastic, with one couple noting: "The bar prices were very expensive at £6 a pint and the restaurant closed at 10pm."
One particularly delighted visitor to Fallbarrow Park described it as "The best Parkdean park in the Lake District," while another commented: "Stayed here a couple of times now and we've booked for next year. The staff are lovely. Food at the bar is amazing. Highly recommend."
Another was impressed with how affordable it was, adding: "Suits all age groups, plenty going on if you want to join in, but no pressure if you don't want to. Easy to drive to places nearby. Dorchester is a nice little town. Really liked the different choices in the restaurant, eg: 2 cocktails for £10 before 7pm, curry for £12 another night, etc."
