Travel company On the Beach has offered Norway striker Erling Haaland 10 free holidays a year for life — on the condition that he takes his first trip this Saturday instead of playing against England in the World Cup quarterfinal in Miami.
Haaland's World Cup Performance
Haaland has scored seven goals in the tournament, including two late goals in Norway's dramatic 2-1 victory over Brazil to send his country into the quarterfinals. He jointly leads the race for the Golden Boot alongside Argentina's Lionel Messi and France's Kylian Mbappe, while England's Harry Kane has six goals.
The Offer Details
The deal includes 10 trips per year for Haaland, his family, and friends to more than 280 destinations worldwide, worth millions of pounds. The catch: he must take his first holiday this Saturday, anywhere but Miami. On the Beach's holiday expert Caspar Nelson said: "Erling has worked incredibly hard this summer and, frankly, he looks like he deserves a break. We would be delighted to send him, his family, and his friends on holiday for the rest of his life. There is only one small catch. He has to take the first one this Saturday and it has to be anywhere but Miami. In fact, we hear Mauritius, on the complete opposite side of the world, is a lovely destination."
Deadline and Acceptance
Haaland has until 8pm on Saturday to accept the offer, before team sheets for the match are announced. A spokesman said all he needs to do to accept is turn up at their head office in Manchester, his home city, where they will organize the paperwork.
