Fred. Olsen has opened bookings for its 2028 cruise programme, including 17 trips departing from the Port of Tyne. The new holidays feature destinations such as Scandinavia and Spain, alongside lesser-known ports. The cheapest option is a Five-Night Europe Mystery Cruise in February 2028, priced from £499 per person, where destinations are kept secret until the ship approaches each port.

Longest cruises visit Morocco and Spain

The longest 2028 cruises last between 10 and 13 nights. A 13-night Colour & Culture of Morocco holiday in February, visiting Spain, Portugal and Morocco, is priced from £1,399 per person. The Cultures & Flavours of Northern Spain trip in April 2028, stopping in four regions of Northern Spain over 10 nights, starts at £999 per person.

The other joint-longest cruise is the 13-night Nine Nations of Northern Europe holiday in May, priced from £1,849 per person. It visits Norway, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Germany and Sweden.

Northern Lights adventures confirmed

Two seven-night voyages are also available. The Iconic Landmarks of Northern Europe cruise in March, from £749 per person, calls at capital cities in Norway and Denmark alongside the 13th-century fishing village of Warnemünde in Germany. The Cultural Cities of Northwest Europe cruise in May, visiting France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark, starts at £899 per person.

Three In Search of the Northern Lights cruises, taking place in February and March, are available from £1,249 per person. These 10-night trips journey across Norway and venture beyond the Arctic Circle.

Other Nordic options include the Cultural Cities of Scandinavia at Easter voyage from £999 per person, the Mountains & Fjords of Norway holiday from £999 per person, and two Scenic Highlights of the Norwegian Fjords cruises from £1,149 per person. The Wonders & Wildlife of Iceland voyage in June 2028, from £1,399 per person, includes a call in Reykjavik and the chance to see the Midnight Sun above the Arctic Circle. The Scenery & Wildlife of Scotland and Ireland cruise in May 2028, from £999 per person, visits the Shetland Islands, Outer Hebrides, the Wild Atlantic Way and the Isle of Skye.

Short breaks to Norway and the Netherlands

Five-night trips include the Norwegian Fjords in Five Nights in May from £699 per person. The Netherlands Tulip Season with a Belgium holiday in April, from £599 per person, offers the chance to see tulips at Keukenhof Gardens with a stop in Zeebrugge, Belgium.
