EasyJet has unveiled two new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport as part of a major expansion across the UK. The budget airline will fly to Reykjavik, Iceland, and Kittilä, Finland, starting on 2 and 25 November respectively. Reykjavik services will operate twice weekly on Monday and Friday, while Kittilä services will run twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, is the world's northernmost state capital, located on the southwestern coast. It is a popular gateway for travelers seeking the Northern Lights. Kittilä, situated above the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland, is known for winter snow adventures and summer Midnight Sun exploration, centered around the resort hub of Levi.
Expansion Across the UK
The announcement comes during a period of significant growth for EasyJet. The airline is introducing new routes from London Luton to Kittilä and Strasbourg, London Southend to Edinburgh, Birmingham to Copenhagen, Manchester to Cairo, Newcastle to Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Hurghada, and Rovaniemi, and Newquay to Geneva.
Services from London Luton to Kittilä and Strasbourg commence on 24 and 29 November respectively. The Kittilä route will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while the Strasbourg service will run four times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. A fresh service between London Southend and Edinburgh launches on 25 October, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.
Services from Birmingham to Copenhagen begin on 16 November, running twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. A new Manchester to Cairo route starts on 9 November, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. EasyJet will be the sole airline providing a direct service from Manchester to Sphinx airport, offering the closest access to the Pyramids of Giza and western Cairo.
EasyJet is also broadening its network at Newcastle with five new routes, taking the total to 31. Services to Barcelona commence on 25 October, Hurghada on 27 October, Copenhagen on 5 November, Berlin on 20 November, and Rovaniemi on 25 November. The Barcelona route will operate twice weekly on Fridays and Sundays, Hurghada on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Copenhagen on Thursdays and Sundays, Berlin on Mondays and Fridays, and Rovaniemi on Wednesdays and Sundays.
EasyJet is also introducing services between Cornwall Airport Newquay and Geneva, its first international route from Newquay, running once weekly on Saturdays from 16 January 2027 to 27 February 2027.
