EasyJet has announced five new routes from Newcastle International Airport, expanding its network to 31 destinations. The budget carrier has quadrupled its Newcastle operations since establishing a base there in March 2026.
New Routes from Newcastle
Flights will commence on the following dates:
- Barcelona – from 25 October, twice weekly (Fridays and Sundays)
- Hurghada – from 27 October, twice weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays)
- Copenhagen – from 5 November, twice weekly (Thursdays and Sundays)
- Berlin – from 20 November, twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays)
- Rovaniemi – from 25 November, twice weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays)
Part of a Larger Expansion
These routes are part of a major growth programme by EasyJet, which includes 13 new routes from eight UK airports this winter. Other new connections include Manchester to Cairo, London Luton to Kittila and Strasbourg, London Southend to Edinburgh, Birmingham to Copenhagen, Liverpool to Reykjavik and Kittila, and Newquay to Geneva.
Highlights of Other Routes
- Manchester to Cairo – from 9 November, twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays). EasyJet will be the only airline offering a direct service from Manchester to Sphinx airport, providing access to the Pyramids of Giza.
- London Luton to Strasbourg – from 29 November, four times weekly (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays).
- London Southend to Edinburgh – from 25 October, twice weekly (Thursdays and Sundays).
- Newquay to Geneva – from 16 January 2027, weekly on Saturdays, marking the airport's first international route.

Fares start from as low as £23.99 one way. The new routes offer a mix of winter sun, city breaks, and ski destinations.
