EasyJet to Cover £66.50 Baby Passport Fee for Families
EasyJet Covers £66.50 Baby Passport Fee for Families

EasyJet has launched a scheme to cover the £66.50 cost of baby passports for families who book an easyJet holiday, with reservations required by November 26. The initiative is designed to make travelling with infants more affordable and straightforward.

How the Offer Works

Parents booking through easyJet or easyJet holidays can have the £66.50 fee for a newborn's passport reimbursed, provided the booking is made before the November 26 deadline. A standard child's passport in the UK costs £66.50 when applied online, or £80 via paper application.

The move follows research by the airline and tour operator, which found that 75 per cent of parents said having their baby's passport covered would make a holiday feel more budget-friendly.

Family Travel Insights

The easyJet study also revealed that 4 in 5 parents viewed their baby's first holiday as a defining family moment, with over half describing it as one of their proudest parental milestones. Additionally, 47 per cent of parents stated that taking their kids abroad makes them more inquisitive about the world, and easyJet holidays recorded a 10 per cent rise in the number of babies travelling this year compared to 2025.

Nearly a quarter of surveyed parents said it took roughly six attempts to get a suitable passport photo, while almost one in 10 admitted they did not know their baby needed a passport until planning began. Parents can take a baby passport photo at home using a smartphone and upload it online, provided it meets HM Passport Office's official guidelines.

Support and Resources

EasyJet has also released a short film on the Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Parenting YouTube channel, featuring easyJet Captain Kate West, a new mother, alongside Mummy Pig. The video offers guidance on capturing a baby passport photo and tips for flying with young children.

Captain Kate commented: "We carry millions of families across Europe every year, and we know that travelling with a baby brings a whole series of exciting firsts. We want to make travel as easy and accessible as possible for everyone, including young families, so they can enjoy all the experiences and memories that travel can bring. We hope that covering the cost of a baby's first passport goes a small way towards making that first family adventure a little easier and gives our youngest travellers a warm welcome to the world."
