Disney Cruise Line Unveils Name of Fourth Wish Class Ship: Disney Believe
Disney Reveals Name of New Wish Class Cruise Ship: Disney Believe

Disney Cruise Line has officially revealed the name of its upcoming Wish class cruise ship, marking a significant milestone in the company's expansion plans. The new vessel, which will be called Disney Believe, is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, following a steel-cutting ceremony held in August 2025.

Construction and Launch Details

The Disney Believe is scheduled to launch in 2027, positioning it as the fourth ship in the Wish class fleet. It will join its sister ships: the enchantment-themed Disney Wish, the adventure-themed Disney Treasure, and the heroes and villains-themed Disney Destiny. Like these predecessors, Disney Believe will be dedicated to the theme of "promise and possibilities," reflecting Disney's commitment to immersive storytelling and magical experiences at sea.

Inspiration and Thematic Elements

While specific details about the ship's design remain limited, Disney Cruise Line has provided an update indicating that Disney Believe will draw inspiration from beloved Disney narratives. The ship will feature powerful stories of Disney characters who believe in themselves and their dreams, with influences from the magical world of Encanto, the wishing wells of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the oceanic depths from The Little Mermaid.

Similar to other Wish class ships, guests can anticipate immersive dining experiences. The current fleet offers themed dinners based on franchises such as Marvel, Frozen, Rapunzel, and The Lion King, alongside shows like Hercules. However, Disney has not yet disclosed which character will adorn the stern of Disney Believe or the identity of the bronze statue for its Grand Hall.

Fleet Expansion and Future Plans

The Disney Cruise Line fleet is undergoing rapid expansion, with the aim of operating 13 ships by 2031. Recent additions include Disney Adventure, which embarked on its maiden voyage from Singapore on March 10, 2026. Looking ahead, a new class of ships is in development for 2029, and an agreement with Disney and Oriental Land Co. will introduce Disney cruise sailings to Japan in the same year.

This announcement underscores Disney's strategic growth in the cruise industry, leveraging its iconic characters and stories to create unique maritime adventures for passengers worldwide.
