A married couple described as 'soul mates' died from carbon monoxide poisoning while sleeping in their campervan at a cider festival, an inquest has heard.
Christopher Coll, 48, and Kayleigh Coll, 38, from Blandford Forum, Dorset, were found dead in their vehicle on October 12 at the New Forest Cider Festival in Burley. The couple, who had four children, were using gas heating in the van.
Area coroner Nicholas Walker gave a preliminary cause of death as carbon monoxide toxicity and adjourned the inquest at Winchester Coroners Court until July 22, 2026.
Relatives are now caring for the couple's children: Shyla, Alex, Kaizer and Emily. A GoFundMe page set up for the family has raised over £30,000 of its £37,000 goal.
Mr Coll ran Mystacoll's Spirit, selling handcrafted copper art and jewellery. In a statement, the family said: 'Their loss has left an immeasurable void in the lives of all who loved them.' They asked for privacy and respect during their grieving.
Festival organisers said the incident occurred in a private vehicle and was not connected to the event. Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.
