Cadbury World Unveils Record-Breaking Mega Mini Egg in Birmingham
Cadbury World has officially unveiled what it claims is the world's largest mini egg, a colossal creation dubbed the Mega Mini Egg. This extraordinary Easter treat, weighing an impressive 55 kilograms, is now on display for chocolate enthusiasts to marvel at from Monday, March 30, 2026.
A Sweet Spectacle for Easter 2026
The 70-centimetre milk chocolate egg is encased in a distinctive speckled, pastel pink, crisp sugar-coated shell, meticulously crafted to replicate the beloved Cadbury Mini Egg on a grand scale. It will be showcased at Cadbury World in Bournville, Birmingham, until Sunday, April 12, offering visitors a unique seasonal attraction.
The masterminds behind this larger-than-life confection are Cadbury World's talented chocolatiers Claire Fielding, Dawn Jenks, and Donna Pitt. They dedicated two full days to bringing the Mega Mini Egg to life, drawing inspiration from the iconic treat's familiar appearance.
Chocolatiers Share Their Creative Journey
Claire Fielding expressed her excitement about the project, stating, "After the amazing reaction to last year's gigantic Cadbury Creme Egg, we knew we had to craft something just as fantastic for 2026." She added, "Cadbury Mini Eggs are another absolute favourite and a British Easter staple, so creating the Mega Mini Egg felt like the perfect next challenge. We took that instantly recognisable shell and chocolate centre and scaled it up into a real showstopper. It's been so rewarding seeing it come to life, and we can't wait for visitors to come and see it in person this Easter."
Easter Activities at Cadbury World
In addition to viewing the Mega Mini Egg, visitors to Cadbury World this Easter season can participate in Freddo's Egg-cellent Easter Show. This interactive stage show invites young guests to assist in completing fun missions, adding an engaging family-friendly element to the holiday experience.
The unveiling of the Mega Mini Egg continues Cadbury World's tradition of creating oversized chocolate delights, following the success of previous large-scale creations like the gigantic Cadbury Creme Egg. This latest innovation is set to draw crowds and sweeten the Easter celebrations in Birmingham.
