Cadbury World has produced what it claims is the 'world's largest' Mini Egg, a colossal 55kg milk chocolate creation that will be on display for Easter 2026. The gigantic treat, which measures 70cm in height and is comparable in size to a cheetah, features a speckled pastel pink sugar-coated shell encasing the chocolate centre.
A Spectacular Easter Attraction
The massive Mini Egg will be exhibited at the chocolate-themed park in Bournville, Birmingham, starting Monday and remaining available for public viewing until Sunday, April 12. This follows the success of last year's 90cm Cadbury Creme Egg, which weighed 45kg and was described as being around the height of an emperor penguin.
Crafting the Mega Mini Egg
The Easter masterpiece was created over two days by Cadbury World chocolatiers Claire Fielding, Dawn Jenks, and Donna Pitt. Ms Fielding explained the inspiration behind the project, stating, 'After the amazing reaction to last year's gigantic Cadbury Creme Egg, we knew we had to craft something just as fantastic for 2026.'
She added, 'Cadbury Mini Eggs are another absolute favourite and a British Easter staple, so creating the Mega Mini Egg felt like the perfect next challenge. We took that instantly recognisable shell and chocolate centre and scaled it up into a real showstopper.'
Comparing the Colossal Creation
To put the scale into perspective, a standard bag of Mini Eggs currently weighs just 74g, making the new display piece approximately 743 times heavier. Last year's featured attraction was a 44kg Creme Egg made with real chocolate and fondant, showcasing the chocolatiers' ongoing commitment to creating impressive seasonal displays.
Visitor Experience and Heritage
Cadbury World, located in the chocolate company's original home of Bournville where production began over a century ago, offers visitors insights into the craft and heritage of the iconic brand. The park provides educational experiences about the history of cocoa beans and chocolate-making techniques alongside these spectacular seasonal creations.
Ms Fielding expressed enthusiasm about the public reveal, saying, 'It's been so rewarding seeing it come to life, and we can't wait for visitors to come and see it in person this Easter.' The chocolatiers anticipate strong public interest in what they describe as a true showstopper that continues Cadbury World's tradition of creating memorable Easter attractions.
