Club Mona, a major new lifestyle, wellness and sporting destination, is set to open on Great Howard Street in Liverpool, close to the Titanic Hotel. The venue occupies almost 40,000 square feet in the city's thriving northern docklands area and represents a £4m investment.
Key figures behind the project
The ambitious project has been created by Liverpool brothers Luis, Lloyd and Jordan Stockton alongside Applied Nutrition COO Steven Granite. Director Lloyd Stockton, 34, said: “We wanted to create something that feels genuinely different for Liverpool. Club Mona isn’t just about padel or fitness, it’s about building a space people want to spend time in and be part of a like-minded community.”
Facilities and offerings
The ground floor will feature eight indoor padel courts, a premium lounge and co-working space, café-style social areas, modern changing facilities and a dedicated recovery suite complete with hot and cold plunge pools and saunas. A retail space selling nutrition products, equipment and accessories will also be included.
Elsewhere in the venue, visitors will find a fully equipped commercial gym, a Hyrox-focused training zone, HIIT studio, yoga and Pilates spaces, plus an advanced wellness suite featuring cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, red light therapy, recovery technology and treatment rooms.
Community and social vision
Alongside its health and fitness offering, Club Mona plans to host a programme of events, brand partnerships and social activities aimed at creating a strong sense of community among members. Dad Luis Stockton, 40, added: “Everything at Club Mona has been designed around experience and atmosphere. Whether someone is coming to play padel, or a workout, a recovery session, to work remotely or simply to meet friends, we want the club to become part of people’s daily routines and lifestyles.”
“We’re passionate about creating a destination that feels aspirational but accessible at the same time; somewhere people feel comfortable, inspired and connected.”
Opening timeline
Club Mona is expected to open early 2027, with further details around memberships, programming and launch events to be announced in the coming months.
