A British family has spoken out about their disastrous £4,000 holiday to Turkey, where their child was left sleeping on the floor due to what they described as a 'disgusting' bed.
The family, who had saved up for months for the dream getaway, arrived at their supposedly luxury resort only to find appalling conditions in their room.
'It was absolutely revolting'
'The bed meant for our child was stained, filthy and clearly hadn't been properly cleaned,' the mother told reporters. 'We couldn't in good conscience let our child sleep there, so they ended up on the floor.'
Resort's shocking response
When the family complained to hotel management, they claim they were initially offered just a towel to cover the stained mattress. 'It was only after we made a huge fuss that they eventually replaced the bedding, but by then the damage was done,' the father explained.
Holiday from hell
The family's nightmare continued throughout their stay:
- Dirty bathrooms with mould in the shower
- Food that was often cold or undercooked
- Pool areas littered with broken sun loungers
'We paid premium prices but got budget hostel conditions,' the mother said. 'It completely ruined what should have been a special family holiday.'
Travel company under fire
The family has lodged a formal complaint with both the resort and their travel operator, demanding a full refund. 'Other guests were having similar issues,' they claimed. 'This isn't just about us - we want to warn other families.'
