Known for his ball-winning ability, Baleba will strengthen a United side that played 40 matches across all competitions last season. The team will also face Champions League fixtures this campaign, adding at least eight more games, with the total potentially rising depending on progress in the Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

United's transfer chiefs are focusing on completing summer business before deadline day, with the left-back position a key area of need. The club has been linked with several options, including Newcastle's Lewis Hall, though the English international may be too expensive.
