Veteran voice actor Troy Baker, known for roles as the Joker and Joel, has taken on one of cinema's most iconic characters in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The game, set for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 12, 2026, earned Baker a BAFTA nomination for leading performance.
Baker described the pressure of following Harrison Ford's legacy, saying the goal was to make players feel like Indiana Jones. He shared a memorable moment meeting Ford: 'I said, “you know this is the hardest job I've ever had to do” … He goes, “was it worth it?” I said, “sure, it was worth it!”'
The actor also reflected on his reaction to playing the game with his son: 'Whenever I do my job, I forget that it's me. I'm not scared, I'm excited.' Baker emphasised the collaborative effort with Machine Games and Bethesda to honour the franchise's legacy while creating an original story.
Beyond Indiana Jones, Baker discussed the growing challenges of voice acting and his role in The Last of Us season 2. He remains enthusiastic about the industry's evolution, stating, 'I'm not scared, I'm excited.'
