Tesco Groceries Now Available on Uber Eats with Clubcard Perks

Tesco has rolled out its partnership with Uber Eats nationwide, following a successful trial across 73 Tesco stores. Shoppers ordering Tesco through Uber Eats can collect Clubcard points and take advantage of Clubcard Prices.

Delivery Fees and Costs

Uber Eats typically charges a delivery fee, service fee, bag fee and a small order fee if you spend less than £15. Uber Eats delivery fees usually range between 29p and £14.99, with the peak fee applying to popular restaurants at busy times and for orders requiring longer travel. In comparison, the cheapest delivery slot from Tesco is £1.50.

Tesco also operates its rapid delivery service, Whoosh, which offers grocery delivery from as little as 20 minutes. The delivery fee for Whoosh is a flat fee of £2.99.

Statements from Tesco and Uber Eats

Rob Graham, Digital Director at Tesco, said: "We want to make shopping with Tesco as convenient as possible for customers, and our launch on Uber Eats gives even more people access to the outstanding quality, value and range they expect from us. Whether they're planning a family meal, topping up their weekly shop or picking up some last-minute essentials, even more customers across the country are now just a few clicks away from Tesco products."

Katie Hunter, General Manager for Grocery & Retail in the UK, said: "We’re thrilled to launch Tesco on a delivery platform for the first time with Uber Eats, now bringing their much-loved product ranges to even more customers. With Clubcard being integrated in the app from day one, our customers are already enjoying the ease and convenience of rapid delivery while still claiming their favourite Tesco rewards."

Expansion and Clubcard Updates

Tesco will further expand customer choice in September when its products become available on Deliveroo. The supermarket also announced it is expanding its Clubcard to 16 and 17-year-olds. To join, the teenager must be invited from the Clubcard account of a parent or guardian. The "invite to Clubcard" button will only be visible to Clubcard members using the latest version of the app.

More than 24 million UK households are signed up to Tesco Clubcard. A Clubcard is used in more than 80% of sales at Tesco, according to the supermarket’s figures.
