Sky NOW TV to Stop Working on Several Devices From August 3
Sky NOW TV to Stop Working on Several Devices From August 3

Sky's NOW streaming service will cease to function on a range of older devices from August 3, 2026, affecting users of dedicated NOW TV boxes, certain Roku models, and older Apple devices including the iPhone 7.

Devices Losing Access

According to Cord Busters, the following devices will no longer support NOW after the cut-off date:

  • NOW TV Smart Box (model 4500SK)
  • Roku Streaming Stick (model 3500X)
  • Roku box models 2700X, 2710X, and 2720X

The discontinuation is not a decision by Sky but stems from Roku ending support for its older hardware. The NOW TV Smart Box was built in partnership with Roku, making it subject to the same phase-out.

Apple Device Changes

Additionally, NOW will stop working on iPhones older than the iPhone 7, including all models released before it. The iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4 will also lose compatibility. This is because NOW requires devices to run iOS 16 or later.

What Users Can Do

Affected users will need to upgrade to newer hardware to continue watching NOW. Most modern smart TVs, game consoles, Amazon Fire TV Sticks, and newer Roku products remain compatible. Sky advises checking device compatibility on its website.
