The epic Rocky saga continues with a new television spin-off titled Delphi, which has just announced its star-studded cast. The series, produced by Michael B. Jordan's Outlier Society, is currently in production in Los Angeles and will premiere on Prime Video.

Delphi's Premise and Cast

Set at the prestigious Delphi Academy in Los Angeles—the same institution that trained Apollo Creed—the series follows a group of young boxers. The core cast includes Benji Santiago (Broadway's The Notebook), Juan Castano (Rob Peace), Demián Bichir (Land), André Holland (Love, Brooklyn), Andre Royo (The Punisher: One Last Kill), Sofia Black-D'Elia (Remarkably Bright Creatures), and Victoria Vourkoutiotis (Elsbeth).

Recurring roles feature Wood Harris (The Wire), Niles Fitch (Forever), Dasan Frazier (A Different World), Graham Patrick Martin (Catch-22), Brittany Adebumola (M.I.A.), Rene Moran (Cross), Okieriete Onaodowan (Hamilton), and Breanna Yde (School of Rock).

Character Details

Santiago and Castano portray siblings Santi and Nico Torres, with Bichir as their father Hector. Santi grows up in East Los Angeles in the shadow of his elder brother Nico, a talented boxer struggling with inner demons. Hector, a Mexican-born former boxer, runs a local gym and raises his sons with a tough-love approach.

Holland plays Teddy 'T-Bone' Parker, Delphi's head coach and a shrewd boxing tactician. Royo is Elmer Tatum, an eccentric boxing encyclopedia. Black-D'Elia portrays Bobbi Weiss, an accountant who dreams of becoming a boxing trainer despite never having fought. Vourkoutiotis plays Kai Katsaros, a timid young fighter. Harris appears as Little Duke, son of Apollo's trainer Tony 'Duke' Evers, who coaches emerging talent at Delphi.

Recurring characters include Fitch as Dante, Frazier as Remy, Martin as Jackson, Adebumola as Mina, Moran as Iggy, Onaodowan as Freddie, and Yde as Ana.

Behind the Scenes

Showrunner Marco Ramirez, known for Marvel's Daredevil and The Twilight Zone reboot, leads the creative team. Michael B. Jordan announced the cast on Instagram, calling the project special and thanking producers Irwin Winkler, Ryan Coogler, and others. Filming is underway in Los Angeles, but a premiere date has not yet been announced.
