McDonald's is launching a new limited edition gaming collaboration, connecting fans to six of Microsoft’s most recognisable gaming worlds through a partnership across Halo: Campaign Evolved, Fallout 76, Forza Horizon 6, Overwatch, World of Warcraft and Candy Crush.
New Menu Items and In-Game Rewards
Inspired by the worlds of gaming, the menu brings elements from players' favourite franchises to life, giving fans the chance to taste items they’ve only encountered on screen and brand new in-game content for those same titles. Customers can unlock exclusive in-game rewards via the McDonald’s App.
McDonald’s is launching Black Pepper & Garlic McNuggets, inspired by the moa bird that has appeared throughout Halo. 6, 9 or 20 pieces with black pepper and Garlic are served with a sweet & sour dip.
Flavours from Halo, World of Warcraft, Fallout, Forza, and Candy Crush
There is also Fiery Buffalo Dip inspired by World of Warcraft and, inspired by Fallout 76, there are Blamco Cheesy Potato Bites. For Forza Horizon 6 there is Sour Cherry Fizz and there is a Candy Crush Choco McFlurry.
Also, in a tribute to Kiriko’s snack in Overwatch, the Sugar Donut will appear in limited-time packaging across restaurants in the UK and Ireland. Side Missions introduces a gamified journey, where fans can unlock rewards, discover hidden moments, and engage with content inspired by their favourite games.
Exclusive Digital Content via McDonald's App
The experience extends into the digital world in the McDonald’s App, where customers will be able to use their Reward points to unlock exclusive in-game items across participating titles. This includes: a car voucher for Forza Horizon 6, letting players add a new vehicle to their collection; a Sugar Bomb Bundle in Fallout 76, packed with themed in-game goodies; a Red Hot Portable Bakery in World of Warcraft, a fan-favourite limited-time item that is making a special return; a Candy Crush Choco McFlurry; and Kiriko’s beloved Sugar Donut in Overwatch.
Daily deals will be available via the McDonald’s App.
