Nkunku opportunity emerges
Former Reds manager Amorim, now in charge at the San Siro, has reportedly decided Nkunku is not part of his plans following a disappointing pre-season campaign. United's interest in Nkunku stretches back several years, with the club first considering a move for him during Ralf Rangnick's time at Old Trafford in 2022.
A move never materialised at the time, and Nkunku eventually endured a difficult stint at Chelsea before joining the Serie A giants. Amorim's apparent willingness to let him leave could now give United another chance to sign a player they have admired for a considerable period.
Kim Min-jae decision
Manchester United's long-standing pursuit of Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae appears to be nearing a definitive end, with the South Korea international reportedly deciding where his future lies amid continued interest from the Reds. The centre back has slipped down the pecking order at times under Bayern boss Vincent Kompany, but that has not convinced him to seek a move away from the Bundesliga.
According to BILD, the 29-year-old is content with his current situation and intends to remain in Germany to battle for his place. That will come as a disappointment to United, who have kept tabs on Kim since his impressive spell at Napoli, where he helped them win the Serie A title. With the defender set to turn 30 in November, the chances of him eventually appearing in a Manchester United shirt now appear increasingly remote.
