Liverpool Enter £103m Tonali Battle, PSG Won't Sell Barcola

Liverpool have emerged as a surprise destination for Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali, who looks set to leave St James' Park this summer. The Reds are also facing disappointment in their pursuit of PSG winger Bradley Barcola, as the French club have no need to sell.

Liverpool Enter Sandro Tonali Battle

According to Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool have joined Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in the race for Tonali. The Italy international's starting price of €100m (£86m) could rise to €120m (£103m) due to intense interest. Spurs have made Tonali their top summer target and have agreed a personal package worth £275,000 per week with the player, following talks with his agency, GR Sports.

PSG 'Don't Need to Sell' Barcola

Liverpool had hoped PSG would need to offload Bradley Barcola to balance their books, but after agreeing a huge deal for Goncalo Ramos to join Milan, PSG are no longer required to raise funds. Even if they did part ways, The Athletic reports that the French champions would seek a fee similar to what Manchester City are offering for Elliot Anderson. However, Lee Kang-in and Randal Kolo Muani are free to leave PSG this summer.
