Rockstar has finally broken its silence on GTA 6 and released a third trailer for the highly anticipated game – although it's not quite the first look at gameplay fans were hoping for. Instead, the developer has given fans their very first look at the cover art for the game, so we now know exactly what the box will look like on those store shelves when the November 19 release date rolls around. We also now know when Grand Theft Auto 6 will finally be available to pre-order, meaning we should know how much the game is going to cost from next week.
The Big Reveal
Rockstar has dropped a third trailer for GTA 6, giving fans their first official look at the game's collage-style cover art. Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will officially go live next week on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Pre-orders will be available for both digital and physical versions, debunking rumors of a digital-only launch. The cover art reveal confirms exactly what fans will see on shop shelves when the game launches on November 19. Exact pricing and special editions remain under wraps but will be officially revealed by Rockstar when pages go live next Thursday.
GTA 6 Pre-Orders Are Finally Here
In the latest trailer for GTA 6, Rockstar Games confirmed that pre-orders will officially go live on June 25, 2026. That's next Thursday at the time of writing. What's more, it sounds like pre-orders will be going live for both digital and physical editions of the game, bucking rumours that GTA 6 would only be available digitally at launch. “Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers,” reads the YouTube trailer's description. That means gamers will be able to put down their money on either the PlayStation or Xbox stores, as well as at other retailers like Amazon.
New GTA 6 Trailer Reveals Official Cover Art
The latest GTA 6 trailer wasn't only about announcing the pre-order date – it's also our first look at the game's official cover art. Fans will be pleased to see that it follows the same design language as previous GTA games with stylised illustrations placed in a collage around the main logo in the centre. We see dual-protagonists Jason and Lucia at the very top, with side characters like Boobie Ike and Raul Bautista in some of the other panels. Fan reactions to the artwork are mostly positive so far. One YouTube comment reads: “It's a timeless classic to always have the helicopter in the upper left corner of the cover art!” Another adds: “We gonna be looking at this cover art for years to come.”
GTA 6 Price and Editions: How Much Will It Cost?
The latest announcement will be music to the ears of GTA fans as we've speculated for years now about how much the game is actually going to cost. With this set to be the most anticipated game of the decade, it's thought that Rockstar could easily charge close to $100 for GTA 6 and we all likely wouldn't think twice about paying for it. We can also likely expect Rockstar to announce multiple different versions of GTA 6 for fans to pre-order depending on how much money they want to lay down. Red Dead Redemption 2 included a Special Edition and Ultimate Edition which rewarded players with several in-game cosmetics. It's very likely that we'll see Rockstar do the same with GTA 6, although the pricing structure remains unclear for now. There's also currently no word on whether there'll be a physical collectors edition. Thankfully, the wait will soon be over as Rockstar will be forced to reveal exactly how much it's charging for the game when pre-orders finally go live. We'll report back next week when we know more about how much GTA 6 will cost and where you can pre-order it.
