Daily Mail Launches Relink: A New Daily Puzzle Game

The Daily Mail is thrilled to introduce Relink, the latest addictive addition to its Games section, described as the most satisfying brainteaser yet.

What is Relink?

Relink is a daily puzzle built on lateral thinking and lightbulb moments. It features four rows, four imposters, one secret link, and an answer hidden in plain sight.

How to Play Relink

Each day's puzzle starts with a grid of 16 words or phrases arranged in four rows of four tiles. In each row, three tiles share a common link, while the fourth is an imposter—it appears to belong but does not. The player's task is to identify all four imposters.

The twist, which gives Relink its name, is that the four imposters are not random. They are secretly linked to each other by a theme, wordplay, or a shared property. Finding the imposters and naming the thread connecting them are two halves of the same problem. Crack it, and the puzzle is solved.

Players have four lives. Use them wisely, as too many mistakes result in game over until the next day.

A new Relink puzzle is published daily at midnight, encouraging players to return to keep their streak alive and compare results with friends.

Relink is available alongside other puzzles in the Daily Mail Games section on both the app and website.

Relink Tips from the Puzzles Editor

Start at the Top

The rows are stacked from easiest to hardest. The top row is usually more straightforward, while the bottom row is designed to challenge players.

Say the Rows Out Loud

Relink loves wordplay—hidden words tucked inside longer ones, compounds, and things that sound like something else entirely. Reading a row aloud can reveal a link that eyes might miss.

Solve the Relink Vertically

If after solving a couple of rows you have an inkling about what may link the two imposters found, look for tiles in the remaining rows that fit that theme.

Mind the Relink Tile Count

When guessing the Relink, the empty squares in the fifth row indicate how many tiles the answer requires. A two-tile answer and a four-tile answer call for very different kinds of lateral thinking.
