Cricut StickerPix lets users turn phone photos into stickers and prints
Cricut StickerPix turns phone photos into stickers and prints

Cricut's new StickerPix range allows UK crafters to turn photos taken on their phone into bespoke stickers, prints and cards within minutes, a feature early users are calling a game changer for personalised Christmas gifts.

The collection includes the StickerPix Print and StickerPix Print + Cut machines, which produce high-resolution prints that are water-, scratch- and fade-resistant. The devices link to Cricut's Design Space app on mobile and desktop, where users can upload their own photographs, customise templates, or explore over 1.8 million sticker designs and labels.

How the StickerPix machines work

The StickerPix is a dye-sublimation printer that uses heat to transfer dye directly onto the surface of the sticker sheet rather than spraying ink droplets. The process ends with a clear protective layer that makes stickers smooth and durable. The Print + Cut model also includes a built-in precision cutting tool that trims around designs, removing the need for a separate cutting machine.

Small enough to store in a cupboard, the machines are designed for home use and can produce custom stickers, labels, photo prints, cards and invitations. The range is priced from £159.99 at Cricut.

Early user reactions

The StickerPix Print + Cut has already earned a 5-star rating from early adopters in the UK, US and Europe. One reviewer said: "This is something I didn't know I needed until I received and played with it. It makes amazing stickers and labels, and lets you print out amazingly beautiful photos from your phone."

Another customer noted: "With StickerPix, I can quickly and easily turn my phone's photos into little stickers or cards. It only takes a few minutes, and I'm already looking forward to using it to simplify the next children's birthday party."

A third user highlighted the print quality: "The print quality is so vibrant and the 300dpi resolution is flawless. I love that the last pass it makes is a lamination that makes it very water resistant, making it great for water bottles."

Alternatives and availability

For those considering alternatives, Silhouette's Portrait 4 compact cutting plotter is available for £156.49, reduced from £183.18 via 3DJake, and the Siser Juliet Digital Cutting Machine is priced at £520 at Hobbycraft. Both can cut labels and produce bespoke stickers.

Cricut CEO Ashish Arora said: "Cricut has always been about helping people turn their ideas into something personal and real and we are set to make that even easier with the launch of the StickerPix collection." The new range brings bespoke sticker creation to UK consumers in a simpler format, and early users suggest it could become a popular Christmas gift for families.
