Celtic are reportedly pushing ahead to make standout Qarabag forward Camilo Duran their first summer signing. The Premiership champions have been tracking the Colombian for some time and are holding fresh talks with the Baku side to finalize a deal.
Record Transfer Expected
The 24-year-old, who has two years left on his contract with Qarabag, is expected to smash the record sale for a player leaving the Azerbaijan Premier League. Both parties are now closer to a full agreement, according to sources.
Champions League Breakout
Duran was electric in the Champions League last season, netting five times and scoring against Newcastle United in the playoff round. His performances have drawn attention from several clubs, but Celtic appear to be leading the race for his signature.
Versatile Forward
The forward can play across all three positions in attack and will add welcome depth to Celtic's squad if a deal is concluded. With Kelechi Iheanacho out of contract, Daizen Maeda expected to attract significant interest, and Jota facing a battle to return to full fitness, Duran's arrival could be timely.
