Arsenal have moved to the front of the queue for Brighton's Jack Hinshelwood, with sporting director Andrea Berta preparing to make direct contact with his representatives. The 21-year-old has become a top priority for the Gunners this summer, and an official bid is being prepared, according to The Sun.
Hinshelwood a top target
Mikel Arteta sees Hinshelwood as the perfect addition to his squad due to his versatility, with the midfielder able to play at both full-back positions and across the midfield. Manchester City and Manchester United have also shown interest, with United making enquiries of their own, while City are reported to be considering a swoop for the England youth international.
Arsenal have made four signings so far this summer, spending a combined £144million. Jarell Quansah is deemed not for sale by Bayer Leverkusen, but should the German outfit consider a change in stance, Liverpool would be given first choice of the defender. Reports in Germany claimed the defender was "currently not for sale," but the Reds would be allowed to step in on any future deal.
