Fire TV Stick users must be aware of an important new deadline set by Amazon. The US technology company has issued a series of dates confirming the timeframe for software support and when security updates may cease.
Amazon's Policy on Software Updates
Amazon has stated: 'We'll support your device with software security updates until at least four years from when you bought it new. After that time, we may continue to provide software security updates for as long as we can.'
Deadline for Guaranteed Software Patches
Almost all current Amazon Fire TV Sticks will receive updates until December 31, 2030. The only exception is the Fire TV Stick 4K (1st Generation), which may see its last release on December 31, 2029.
