Coleen Nolan, the 61-year-old Loose Women panellist and former member of The Nolans, has made a candid admission about her financial difficulties on her working farm. During a recent episode of the Nolans Uncensored YouTube channel, she confessed, "I can't afford them, that's the issue. If I could afford it I would."
Farm Life and Financial Strain
Nolan moved to a six-acre farm in Dilhorne, Staffordshire, in 2024, relocating from her previous home in Cheshire. She now lives there with her daughter Ciara Fensome, Ciara's fiancé Maxx Innes, and their eight-month-old son Sidney. The property includes an annex, which Nolan has offered rent-free to someone in exchange for maintaining the grounds while she is away.
The TV presenter owns a growing collection of rescue animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and goats. She previously admitted that her financial problems worsened after the move, compounded by her split from long-term partner Michael Jones. Despite these challenges, she describes the farm as her "happy place."
Family Dynamics and Responsibilities
In the YouTube discussion, Nolan's son Shane Jr suggested hiring staff to manage the farm. However, Nolan responded, "I can't afford them, that's the issue." She explained that if Ciara and her family moved out, she would let someone live in the annex rent-free in exchange for caretaking duties.
Ciara, who is Nolan's daughter with second husband Ray Fensome, acknowledged feeling guilty about leaving the farm for trips. Nolan said, "Equally when you randomly go, 'by the way next week we're going to London, or next week we're going to Barcelona.' In my head I go, 'oh are you, because I'm work, what the f*** are we doing with the animals?'"
Financial Realities and Future Plans
Nolan also has two children with first husband, EastEnders actor Shane Richie: Shane Jr and Jake Roche. During the conversation, Ciara suggested she and her family could not afford to move off the farm, prompting Nolan to joke, "So what we've established is the only reason you're here is because you can't afford to move out and leave me."
The admission highlights the financial pressures faced by Nolan, who balances her television career with the demands of farm life. She continues to rely on her daughter's family for support, while seeking a sustainable solution for the property's upkeep.
