Yorkshire Tea, the UK's largest tea brand, has introduced its first iced tea in can form. The 330ml cans come in Peach and Raspberry and Lemon flavours, priced at £2 each.
New product details
The iced tea is made with a bespoke extract from Yorkshire Gold loose leaf tea, ensuring the familiar taste. Both flavours contain natural flavourings, no artificial sweeteners, and are low in calories, gluten-free, and vegan.
Penny Webster, brand manager at Yorkshire Tea, said: "More and more shoppers are swapping traditional soft drinks for refreshing alternatives, and iced tea is quickly becoming a go-to choice. This is a product we’re incredibly proud of. Using a bespoke real tea extract and natural flavourings, we’ve created a light, refreshing drink that’s perfect for enjoying over ice on a warm day."
Availability
The Peach and Raspberry flavour is available exclusively at Sainsbury's and is part of its Meal Deal offer. The Lemon flavour can be purchased from Amazon and Yorkshire Tea's Little Shop of Proper in multipacks. A pack of 12 cans costs £22.
Nutritional information
The Lemon Iced Tea contains 17 calories per 100ml, while the Peach and Raspberry variant has 20 calories per 100ml.
Brand history
The first pot of Yorkshire Tea was brewed in the 1970s, but the company's roots go back to 1886 when Charles Taylor and his two sons set up a tea and coffee company in Harrogate.
