Superdrug has expanded its beauty services by opening its first aesthetics clinic in Scotland, located at the Glasgow Fort shopping centre. The new clinic offers a range of treatments including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal and lip fillers, skin enhancers, and platysma bands, also known as a Nefertiti neck lift.
First of Its Kind in Scotland
This marks the first time Superdrug has offered such aesthetic services in Scotland, with the only other clinics located in London, Westfield, and Leicester. The Glasgow Fort clinic is run by qualified nurses Amanda and Joan, who bring extensive experience to the role. Amanda qualified as an adult nurse in 2016 after earning her BSc in nursing and later completed a Postgraduate Diploma as a Specialist Nurse Practitioner in District Nursing at Master's level in 2023. She entered the aesthetics field in 2023 and is working towards a Master's level qualification in Facial Aesthetics.
Safe, Professional, and Affordable Treatments
The clinic aims to provide safe, professional, and affordable treatments. Each appointment begins with a free consultation, allowing clients to explore their options and receive a quotation for their proposed treatment plan. The services are available to individuals aged 18 and over, with proof of ID required for the initial consultation.
Currently, Superdrug is offering 10 percent off anti-wrinkle injections until June 16. Lip fillers start from £179, and skin enhancers from £139. The aesthetics clinic joins other in-store services at the Glasgow Fort branch, including a health clinic offering weight loss jabs, travel services, blood tests, and wellbeing consultations.
Growing Demand for Affordable Beauty Treatments
The opening comes amid increasing demand for affordable beauty treatments. Superdrug plans to open two more aesthetics clinics in Piccadilly and Leeds later this year. In addition, the retailer has launched its Collection Glass Skin skincare range, inspired by the K-beauty trend, available online and in stores from £6.99. The range includes a primer and setting spray designed to deliver a dewy, glazed skin look.
