A new B&M store in Southport will open on December 3, 2026, at Unit 2, 41-49 Chapel Street, in the former New Look site. The retailer will move from its current location at 91 Lord Street, which will close on November 26, 2026.
Move to Chapel Street
Work is underway to revamp the building, which sits opposite the entrance to Southport Train Station, according to Stand up for Southport. The new store will replace the existing B&M on Lord Street, which currently offers groceries, homeware, electricals, health and beauty items, toys and games, pet food, baby food, wine and beer, and household and lifestyle products.
B&M has apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused during the move to a “bigger and better” location. The former New Look clothing shop closed on August 7, 2026, reports Stand up for Southport.

Shop manager Gemma Graley said at the time: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop. We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click + Collect.”
The Greggs Chapel Street opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 6.30am to 7pm, and Sunday, 8am to 6pm.
