Silentnight Heated Throw drops by £28 in autumn deal at Yimbly
Silentnight heated throw drops £28 in Yimbly autumn deal

The Silentnight Luxury Faux Fur Heated Throw has been discounted at Yimbly, saving shoppers £28, with an extra code bringing the price down further.

The electric blanket, which costs between 1-3p an hour to run according to consumers and the brand, is priced at £79.99, reduced from £99.99. The code AUTUMN10 lowers it to £72. The deal arrives after Ofgem's energy price cap hike earlier this month, prompting some households to consider alternatives to central heating.

Design and Features

The Heated Throw has a ribbed finish in a biscuit shade, designed to fit into any home whether draped at the end of the bed or on the sofa. It comes with nine heat settings and an auto-shut off system, along with a detachable controller that allows the blanket to be washed in a machine.

One customer noted a drawback with the cable, writing: "The only reason it doesn't have a five-star rating, is that the wire can get in the way."

Customer Feedback

Reviews at Amazon praise the blanket's quality and efficiency. One buyer said: "The Silentnight Heated Blanket is a superb quality product. There is a good balance in the weight of the blanket and the lovely neutral caramel tones will blend in with most home decor colour schemes. The blanket is big enough to share to keep everyone cosy whilst watching a favourite movie and eating popcorn. Practically perfect in every way."

A second shopper shared: "Big plus is how economical it is to run. It genuinely costs pennies per hour, making it a very energy efficient way to keep warm without having to heat the whole house. I tested it and found that it cost me around 3p per hour to use, which is about 2p more than advertised, but still extremely efficient and far cheaper than having the central heating on."

A third stated: "It heats up quickly and retains warmth for ages if you turn it off once it's warmed up. There is a wide range of heat settings and it looks nice, too; it's soft and I like the colour. The only thing I would change is the cable because it's quite clunky and would be less so if it were lighter. However, I think it's a 'must' for anyone who feels the cold - given soaring energy costs."
