Blue Lagoon, the Scottish chippy chain, is giving customers a few hours left to try its limited-edition Blue Boo! Halloween range, which is available until November 1 and has divided fans online.

The chain, which has multiple stores across Glasgow, Perth, Stirling and Ayr, launched the range during October. It transforms chippy staples with a bright blue exterior, including a blue battered fish, two blue battered sausages, a blue half pizza crunch and a blue deep-fried Mars bar topped with raspberry goo.
Sharing the countdown on social media, Blue Lagoon wrote: "BOO! Last chance... only available until 1st November! Available in-store, for takeaway and on Just Eat. Same price as our regular range. Taste the scare. Feel the kick."
Fans divided over blue food
Reaction on social media has been mixed. One positive fan wrote: "Have to try this", while another said: "Hell yeah. Eat by taste not sight." A third described it as "a tasteful fright", and another commented: "How's this for a chippy? I would actually get this."
Others were less keen. One person said: "Sorry but that looks rank", with another stating: "Food should never be blue!" Someone else wrote: "Yuck, that looks boggin," while another added: "Come for the blue fish. Stay for the blue teeth." A fifth person wrote: "Not for me but good luck," and another commented: "God almighty that would give you the boak."
