Sainsbury's has introduced a limited-edition Taste the Difference Salad Selection Box priced at £5 across 420 of its UK stores. The pack contains three British-grown salad favourites: Taste the Difference Tomatoes, Pointed Peppers, and a Midi Cucumber.
Support for UK Horticulture
The retailer stated that the promotion supports UK horticulture and was made possible through 17 years of partnership with growers in Kent. The box offers a 24% saving compared to buying the ingredients separately. The supermarket also aims to bring more British-grown produce to its customers.
Hannah O'Reilly, director of produce at Sainsbury's, said: “The British growing season produces some fantastic salad ingredients and we're delighted to bring together a selection of customer favourites in our new Taste the Difference Salad Selection Box.”
Limited Availability
The selection box is available for a limited six-week period. O'Reilly added: “Made possible through our long-term relationships with British growers, it offers a convenient way to enjoy a selection of seasonal salad staples while delivering great value. It's a celebration of the quality and variety of produce grown across the UK this summer.”
Holiday Club Expansion
In addition, Sainsbury's is expanding holiday club spaces throughout July and August to help struggling families. The supermarket has partnered with Comic Relief, funding £8 million to create additional summer holiday club places until at least March 2029. By the end of its new three-year commitment, Sainsbury's will have funded over 500,000 new holiday club places, guaranteeing children a healthy meal during school holidays along with enriching activities and support.
