POP MART opened its first dedicated store in the North East in Newcastle on Friday, with crowds lining up well before the 9am opening. The new shop is located in Eldon Square, in the unit formerly occupied by The Geordie Witch, next to Skechers.
Queues form early for launch
People gathered outside the store long before doors opened, drawn by the promise of limited edition free gifts. The queue grew steadily ahead of the official launch, reflecting the brand's global following and the popularity of its collectibles, particularly the Labubu range.
The store offers fans a full selection of POP MART's globally recognised IPs, including SKULLPANDA, HIRONO, DIMOO and The Monsters, featuring LABUBU, alongside collectible figures, plush toys and lifestyle products.
Opening day offers and experience
Shoppers visiting on opening day could claim a free gift with purchases over £35, with gifts including a SKULLPANDA Magnetic Badge and a Twinkle Twinkle Tissue Pack. The store also features POP MART's signature colourful displays and immersive retail design.
The opening follows queues in Newcastle city centre last year for the sought-after Labubus, and the brand already operates successful stores in various UK cities. ChronicleLive has promised a first look inside the shop.
