OK! Beauty Box Review: £95 Worth of Products for Just £8.99
OK! Beauty Box Review: £95 Products for £8.99

The OK! Beauty Box's latest monthly offering contains six beauty essentials with a combined value of £95, yet the first box costs just £8.99, effectively saving subscribers £86. Each product inside works out at roughly £1.50, and four of the six items are full-sized.

Unboxing the OK! Beauty Box

Beauty writer Lucy Addicott tested the box to road-test the products. Her attention was immediately captured by the Gatineau Ceramide Smoothing Cream (£26), a brand she has sampled before through the Gatineau Advent Calendar. The cream has a wonderful fragrance, evoking a five-star spa atmosphere.

Designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles while providing hydration, the cream offered her parched complexion a welcome lift. It can be used in the morning, but as it does not include SPF, she chooses to apply it at night.

Cherry-Infused Favourites

Another standout is the Disciple Ceraglide Lip Oil (£21), featuring a rollerball applicator that glides coolly over the lips. The formula is soothing and non-sticky, with cherry ceramides lending a fruity aroma. However, Lucy was not particularly taken with the dark green and black packaging, which she found somewhat clinical.

The Beauty Crop's Oui Cherie Hydrating Gripping Makeup Primer (£10) also impressed, despite Lucy typically skipping this step. The formula applies red but quickly becomes transparent, allowing makeup to be layered onto the slightly tacky surface. It contains cherry extract and hyaluronic acid but does not carry a cherry scent.

Complementary Pampering Products

Items four and five work harmoniously together. The Gruum Eira Nourishing Face Oil (£17) can be dispensed using the pipette applicator following cleansing, and worked into skin with the Glow On 5th Beauty Gua Sha (£16). The facial massage implement helps to sculpt the face and neck, promoting lymphatic drainage and boosting blood flow.

Lucy did not observe a sculpting effect straight away, but her skin appeared brighter and more luminous, and the face oil left it beautifully soft. Several skincare brands now offer products that combine the gua sha experience with skincare in a single item, such as the Anua Collagen Retinol Refining Gua Sha Cream (£20.80 at Boots).

A Scent-Sational Finish

The box also includes a luxury sample size (worth £5) of the Commodity Fragrances Milk+ in the scent Expressive. Lucy, who gravitates towards woodier perfumes, found the rich, sweet and smoky scent absolutely delightful. A full-size bottle would cost shoppers £145, making this a savvy way to test it out before taking the plunge.

The OK! Beauty Box operates on a monthly basis, with the first box priced at £8.99, rising to £15 thereafter. Members can pause, skip, or cancel at any point. The box also features a voucher for 2 free copies of OK! Magazine, and the brand has unveiled a 2026 advent calendar curated by makeup artist Hannah Martin, boasting a value of over £605 yet priced at £109, with products from Bobbi Brown, bareMinerals, Kosas, and Weleda.
