Nando's is reviving its festive menu after a three-year absence, adding a Christmas twist to its Portuguese-inspired dishes. The new menu launches on 18 November across UK and Ireland restaurants, available for dine-in, collection and delivery.
The starter is a take on bubble & squeak croquettes, filled with Brussels sprouts, mash and red onion, served with a Caesar dressing for dipping. The reviewer described them as the perfect starter, noting that even devoted sprout haters might be converted.
For the main, the Total Sleigh Burger features a chicken breast with melted cheese, bubble & squeak croquettes, caramelised onions, lettuce and churrasco PERI-naise in a rustic roll, accompanied by PERI-chicken gravy. The reviewer admitted to being sceptical at first but was won over, though they warned the burger is large and a struggle to bite into.
Dessert is a warm chocolate orange brownie topped with melty chocolate and an orange twist, served with vanilla gelato. Despite being least looking forward to this dish, the reviewer found the flavours paired surprisingly well, calling it the sweet treat they needed.
Nando's last launched a Christmas menu in 2022, and this year's return brings three new items. The reviewer, who sampled the menu before its official release, said they were glad they gave it a chance.
