M&S £4 Light-Up Christmas Candles Return for Third Year
M&S Light-Up Christmas Candles Return for Third Year

Marks and Spencer has brought back its batteryless Light-up LED Christmas candles for a third year, after they sold out within weeks of going on sale in 2024. The candles, which cost £12 each, are available in three scents: Mandarin, Clove & Cinnamon, Yuletide Pine & Spice, and Frankincense & Myrrh.

Shoppers can get two candles for £8.40 (or £4.20 each) through a TopCashback offer. The money-saving website is offering new members a £15 sign-up bonus as well as cashback on any purchase of £15 or more at Marks and Spencer. Existing TopCashback members will not be eligible for the £15 bonus but will still receive cashback, making the candles £8.80 (or £4.40 individually).

How the Offer Works

To take advantage of the offer, shoppers need to sign up as a new member at TopCashback for free, search for 'Marks and Spencer' on the site, click through and buy the item normally. The cashback will track to the TopCashback 'Earnings page' within seven days of purchase.

These prices have been calculated with free click and collect; standard delivery costs from £3.99 or is free for orders over £60. It's important to note that cashback isn't paid instantly and can take up to seven days to land into accounts.

Product Details and Reviews

The candles are presented in a beautiful glass vessel and are reusable, meaning they can be used throughout the weeks and months leading up to December 25 without having to worry about replacing it. To use, simply light the wick to trigger the twinkling LED lights. Extra refills of the candles can be picked up for £10 for a set of two.

The Mandarin, Clove & Cinnamon Refillable Light Up Candle has racked up glowing reviews. One satisfied shopper said: "Looks good, great that it’s refillable. Nice smell." A second wrote: "Cannot wait to use this at Christmas, the smell is lovely, not too strong. Well done Marks and Spencer."

"Bought for Christmas," a third penned. "Lovely colour, it’s a deep red almost burgundy, so looks warm. Cosy and rich and added bonus that it comes in a box this year. Love the fact you can buy refills for it." A fourth shared: "A beautiful Christmas candle. Got this for a Christmas gift. I’m sure the recipient will love it."

Comparisons and Considerations

As mandarin, clove and cinnamon is a heavy scent, it may not be suitable for every home. Nevertheless, someone else loved their latest Marks and Spencer purchase, adding: "I've been buying these for some years now and they never fail to delight. It's even better now that refills are available. I'm hoping the ones with the international scenes will be stocked soon." Another five-star review reads: "I have brought several of these candles they make beautiful gifts and always are well received. Very good price, highly recommend. Buy before they are sold out."

Elsewhere, Dunelm's large Winter Spice Inclusion Candle retails for £18. Alternatively, the Yankee Candle Signature Large Jar in the scent 'Christmas Cookie' is available at Boots for £29.99.
