Marks & Spencer has revealed new Christmas menu items for its M&S Café, including what it calls its first-ever Sweet Caramel Apple Toastie, alongside a Turkey Feast Toastie, Yorkshire Pudding Wraps and festive drinks. Shoppers have been sharing their enthusiasm for the line-up, which features returning favourites alongside new additions.
New sweet and savoury toasties
Among the newcomers is the Sweet Caramel Apple Toastie, described by the retailer as its first-ever sweet toastie. It is made with British Bramley apple compote, silky vanilla custard and sweet brioche style bread, plus a pot of caramel dipping sauce. A new savoury item is the M&S Café French Brie & Cranberry Toastie.
Announcing the menu on its official Instagram page this week, the retailer wrote: "New on the menu - 'Tis the season to be jolly hungry, and we've got just the menu at the M&S Café to sort those Christmas cravings out!"
Festive drinks and returning favourites
New drinks include the Malt Ball Hot Chocolate and Malt Ball Milkshake, which the store brands "the ultimate festive sweet treat". There is also a new iced Caramelised Apple Matcha, finished with creamy cold foam.
Talking about returning favourites, the retailer added: "Fuel up for your Christmas shopping with the return of our OG Slow Cooked Beef Yorkshire Pudding Wraps and new Pigs Under Blankets addition, plus fan-fave Turkey Feast Toastie with a gravy dipper (which can be added to any dish)." It also mentioned the Christmas cake station, including the Rodney ReindeerTM Chocolate Cake.
Shopper reaction and availability
The retailer announced that the products will arrive in M&S Cafés from Wednesday 4th November. The news was greeted with significant excitement from customers, with the post gathering over 7,000 likes. One shopper tagged a friend, writing: "We need to test the menu." Another commented: "We must go when I'm down!" A third said: "Friday lunch and M&S Café," while a fourth added: "M&S date next week it is them."
While certain new Christmas items have only landed this week, the Yorkshire Pudding Wraps were seen in M&S Café last month, which left numerous fans of the foodie favourite thrilled. The wraps were discovered by influencer James Andrew, who shared the news on his Instagram account at the time to tell his 127,000 followers that the fan favourite had returned, prompting many into a frenzy of excitement.
