Morrisons has issued a statement urging customers to check their Morrisons More app for an exclusive reward offer. The supermarket is giving selected shoppers the chance to earn a 10% reward by spending £250 before the end of June.
How the Offer Works
The offer is available through the Morrisons More loyalty programme and runs until 30 June. Customers who have received an invitation simply need to scan their More Card each time they shop in-store, or ensure their card is linked to their Morrisons online account. Spending is tracked automatically and can be monitored through the Morrisons More app, website or on receipts.
Morrisons has confirmed that shoppers can work towards the target through several smaller purchases rather than a single large shop. The supermarket said: "You can shop as little and as often as you like to build up your total, this includes any shops you do both in-store and online as long as you scan your Morrisons More card with each transaction."
Online Purchases Count
Online purchases also count towards the target, though Morrisons noted that transactions will be added to a customer's running total up to 72 hours after an order has been delivered.
Eligibility and Activation
However, not every customer will be eligible. Morrisons confirmed the More Plus offer is exclusively available to selected customers, and those interested in participating should visit the homepage of the Morrisons More app or website to determine whether they have received an invitation. Shoppers who meet the £250 spending threshold will earn a reward equivalent to 10% of that total expenditure. The discount will subsequently appear in the 'My Offers' section of their account within 72 hours of fulfilling the challenge, though it must be activated prior to use.
AI-Powered Shopping Trolleys
The loyalty programme is not the only recent development announced by Morrisons. The supermarket has also begun testing futuristic AI-powered shopping trolleys at its Riversway branch in Preston. The advanced carts, branded as Caper Carts, feature touchscreens, cameras, sensors and integrated scales that automatically recognise products as customers place them in their baskets. Shoppers can weigh fresh produce, monitor their expenditure in real time and connect the trolley to their Morrisons More account to access tailored offers while browsing. The technology is already utilised by several leading retailers in the US, but Morrisons will become the first supermarket to trial the system in the UK.
