£20k reward to find missing mum Nazire Koreli

Police are offering a £20,000 reward for information that could help find mother-of-two Nazire Koreli, who went missing two years ago. Ms Koreli, 56, was last seen close to her home in Welling, southeast London, in September 2024, and was reported missing to police the following February by her daughters.

Investigation details

Officers have searched her home, reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage, and carried out specialist searches in water nearby Danson Park. Despite these efforts, Ms Koreli has not been found. Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command arrested a man in his 50s on suspicion of Nazire's murder on Monday, March 10, 2025. He was later released on bail, and enquiries remain ongoing.

Officers continue to support Ms Koreli's family, who remain desperate for answers as they mark two years since she was last seen.

Family's appeal

Independent charity Crimestoppers has offered the £20,000 reward for information that could help police with the ongoing investigation. One of her daughters said: "To know my mum is to know that she is creative, loves going to concerts, cooking for her family, teaching her students, and above all, loves me and my younger sister, her 'girls'."

She added: "Since my mum went missing, I have become a mother myself and I don't know if I will ever accept that they may never meet. My daughter is about to turn two. Two years of a relationship my mother has missed out on, two years of not knowing the most brilliant little girl."

How to help

Crimestoppers is completely independent of the police, and the reward is paid directly by them. The charity guarantees that everyone who contacts them stays 100% anonymous. The reward will be offered for a period of three months. Anyone with knowledge about Ms Koreli's whereabouts should contact the charity by calling their 24/7 contact centre on 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website crimestoppers-uk.org.

Alternatively, call police on 101 quoting CAD 5678 of 28 February 2025. Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the investigation, said: "Two years on from Nazire's disappearance, her family continue to face the pain of not knowing what happened to her. Our investigation remains active, and we are committed to pursuing every line of enquiry available to us."

Nazire is described as a woman of slim build, with light brown hair and olive skin. Anyone who saw her between September 2024 and February 2025 is urged to contact police.
