Supermarket shoppers can get free coffee at Morrisons if they follow one simple rule: wear a national football shirt. The offer runs at selected locations until June 28.
Free Drink for Football Fans
Football fans can score a free drink at Morrisons Cafés this June as the supermarket celebrates the summer of football by rewarding supporters who wear their nation's football shirt with a free beverage. What's more, there is no minimum purchase required to claim the freebie.
From June 11 to June 28, customers visiting any Morrisons Café in their national team shirt can claim a free hot drink (including tea, americano, latté, and cappuccino), or opt for a chilled dispensed fizzy drink. Morrisons Cafés open at 8 am Monday to Saturday, with shorter hours on Sundays (typically 10 am to 4 pm).
The offer is available all day during Morrisons Café opening hours. Morrisons branches with cafés include New Brighton, Belle Vale, Speke, West Kirby, St Helens - Boundary Road, and Ellesmere Port.
Match Day Menu
Alongside the free drink offer, Morrisons has launched a limited-edition Match Day Menu inspired by football fever. The new Match Day Menu is now available in all Morrisons Cafés and is available until July 19.
The line-up includes the 'Morri Match Day Burger' (£12), complete with two quarter pounder burgers, two slices of cheese, bacon, and hash browns, served with chips and coleslaw. Meanwhile, the 'Loaded Hot Dog' (£6.50) offers a jumbo hot dog loaded with onion rings, nacho cheese sauce, and crispy onions. For those needing an early start after a late-night match, Morrisons Cafés open in the morning serving freshly brewed coffee and classic bacon butties (£4.50).
Will Reed, Senior Buying Manager at Morrisons, said: "The summer of football is one of the biggest sporting moments in the calendar and brings people together through a shared love of the game. We wanted to give supporters a fun way to celebrate the tournament, so we’re delighted to be offering a free drink to customers who visit our cafés wearing their nation’s football shirt. Alongside our new Match Day Menu, we hope the free drink offer gives fans another reason to get involved and show their support this summer."
