McDonald's is bringing back its Mini Hash Browns to the UK breakfast menu from Tuesday, August 25, 2026, after the item was discontinued in 2024.
Mini Hash Browns Return by Popular Demand
McDonald's has featured hash browns on the breakfast menu for years, sitting alongside McMuffins and pancakes. In 2024, the chain launched a sharing format offering 15 Mini Hash Browns, which were removed later that year. The item will now return by popular demand.
A spokesperson from McDonald's said: "It's a universal truth that nothing hits like the golden crispiness of a McDonald's Hash Brown and that's why McDonald's UK&I is excited to announce the return of the beloved breakfast item - Mini Hash Browns! Fans can get their hands on these mini must haves from Tuesday, 25th August until 11am."
Each Mini Hash Brown is made to deliver the same crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior, available in a 15-piece Sharebox. Social media users have expressed excitement, with one TikTok user commenting: "Bring on those hash brown bites." Another said: "Mini hash brows are life," while a third wrote: "Mini hash browns, yes get in."
Other Menu Items Returning Alongside
According to reports from UK Newest Foods, garlic and black pepper nuggets may also return, having featured on the menu last year. A new Big Arch burger with bacon has reportedly joined the lineup, alongside cheesy potato bites, a fiery buffalo dip, a Candy Crush McFlurry, and a sour cherry Sprite drink.
