McDonald's is bringing back its Mini Hash Browns, a popular breakfast item that was discontinued in 2024, with the item set to return to the menu on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The Mini Hash Browns, sold in a sharing box of 15, will be available during normal breakfast hours, which end at 11am.
Return of the Mini Hash Browns
McDonald's has served hash browns on its breakfast menu for many years alongside McMuffins and pancakes. In 2024, the chain introduced them in a fun sharing size, but fans were disappointed when they disappeared later that year. Now, by popular demand, they are making a comeback.
A spokesperson from McDonald's said: “It’s a universal truth that nothing hits like the golden crispiness of a McDonald’s Hash Brown and that’s why McDonald’s UK&I is excited to announce the return of the beloved breakfast item - Mini Hash Browns! Fans can get their hands on these mini must haves from Tuesday, 25th August until 11am.”
The spokesperson added: “Each Mini Hash Brown is made to deliver the same irresistible crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior that we have all come to love, but now in mini form! They’re available in a 15-piece Sharebox to enjoy with family or friends.”

Fans on social media have been buzzing about the news, with one commenting on TikTok: “Bring on those hash brown bites.” Another said: “Mini hash brows are life,” while a third wrote: “Mini hash browns, yes get in.”
According to reports from UK Newest Foods, the garlic and black pepper nuggets may also be making a comeback after being part of the menu last year. A new Big Arch burger with bacon is also on the menu, as well as cheesy potato bites, a fiery buffalo dip, a Candy Crush McFlurry, and a sour cherry Sprite drink.
