A man in Liverpool was left amazed after discovering a fish and chips meal that cost just £5, including fish, chips, peas, and a drink. Jerome Griffin, who runs the TikTok account @thescouseghettogourmet, shared his find in a video, saying he couldn't believe such deals still existed.

Jerome visited Heritage Fish and Chips on Great Howard Street and found a daily specials board offering different meals for only £5. He opted for the Friday fish and chips deal and added a sausage on the side. He also tried two types of curry: Chinese and Irish fruity, which he described as "lovely".
Quality praised by foodie
Jerome praised the fish batter as "super crispy" and the fish inside as flaky and moist, exactly as desired. He was so delighted that he said, "I can't stop saying it because I can't believe it." He even had enough money left to buy a barm to make a fish curry sandwich.
The foodie, who helps small businesses by filming reviews, was also pleased to note the chippy has a five-star food hygiene rating and plenty of seating for dine-in customers.
