Lidl is releasing a budget-friendly alternative to a popular John Lewis table lamp this Thursday, August 20. The new LED Table Lamp with Touch Function will arrive as part of its Home & Living range, priced at £7.99.
Design and savings
The bargain lamp closely resembles the Cara Glass Touch Lamp from John Lewis. Both designs feature a sleek silver metal base and a cylindrical frosted glass shade. Shoppers have previously described the John Lewis model as "very chic" and the "perfect size" for bedside tables.
While John Lewis sells its version as a pair for £55, making each lamp worth £27.50, buying two of Lidl's lamps totals £15.98, saving shoppers nearly £40 overall. Even a single Lidl lamp saves around £19.50 compared to the individual value of the designer alternative.
Features and specifications
The Lidl lamp measures 10 centimetres wide by 25.5 centimetres high. It includes a touch-sensitive base with a matt-nickel finish, a 1.6-metre power cable, a three-year warranty, and an included LED bulb with a three-step dimmable brightness function for warm, atmospheric light.
Wider homeware range
The lamp release is part of Lidl's wider Middle Aisle homeware event. Lidl Plus app users can unlock 20% savings on bedroom basics, including duvets starting at £15.99 for a double and £19.99 for a king size. Livarno folding mattress beds are reduced to £39.99, and deep pile rugs in white or grey are available for £12.99.
The collection also includes wooden bed trays for £9.99, padded storage stools for £14.99, and storage ottomans for £19.99.
