Lidl’s £15 storage stool rivals B&Q’s £64 version in new middle aisle deals
Lidl’s £15 storage stool rivals B&Q’s £64 version

Lidl has updated its latest collection of middle aisle bargains, including a 2-for-1 homeware item. The supermarket’s new Special Buy deals are available from today, August 20, with a range of new homeware products that are both practical and functional.

The latest round of new products will land in stores across the UK this Thursday. From bedding, rugs, and electricals, there are plenty of items for shoppers to browse, including a footstool that Lidl claims is both “comfortable and space-saving”.

Lidl’s £14.99 storage stool vs B&Q’s £63.99 version

Lidl is selling the Livarno White Storage Stool for £14.99 as part of its new homeware collection. Lidl adds that the plush padded seat is “removable” and “provides storage space inside”, meaning it comes with a 2-in-1 function.

Shoppers need to be quick as these deals are limited, and stock is often available on a first-come, first-served basis. People who have the Lidl app can double-check before they travel if stores have middle aisle stock available by asking the built-in AI assistant to check availability using real-time data.

It is very similar to B&Q’s Hayes Boucle Blanc Ottoman Storage Stool, worth £63.99. Aside from the colour of the legs, switching black for gold, the homeware pieces are very similar.

Dimensions and comparison

Lidl’s offer gives 31cm of storage and seating space, whereas B&Q’s is slightly bigger at 35cm. Both versions stand at 41cm tall.

Describing it online, B&Q wrote: “Add soft texture and practical style to your home with the Hayes Boucle Blanc Ottoman Storage Stool. Upholstered in a beautifully tactile boucle fabric in a timeless blanc shade, this elegant piece offers both comfortable seating and discreet storage.”

The DIY store added that this piece of homeware would be “perfect for bedrooms, living rooms or dressing areas” as a “stylish” storage solution. However, shoppers who are quick enough to bag the bargain from Lidl could bring a similar look to their homes for almost £50 less.

Other new Lidl deals this week

One popular item appearing in the Middle of Lidl this week includes an £8 ‘atmospheric’ table lamp that looks similar to a £55 John Lewis offer. The supermarket’s new LED Table Lamp with Touch Function is available for shoppers to pick up from today.

For those who like the look of John Lewis’ Cara Glass Touch Lamp, but would prefer to stick to a budget, Lidl’s version may be a more wallet-friendly option. John Lewis’ version looks similar in shape and design to Lidl’s £7.99 lamp, with both featuring a silver base, frosted glass and cylindrical appearance. However, by opting for Lidl’s £7.99 version, John Lewis shoppers could save around £47.

Some items are eligible for Lidl Plus discounts, making them even cheaper.
